Rollie Knoke says, "When we first purchased our little farm it seemed like some sort of reward for years of hard work; I had always wanted to be a farmer. We had a few of everything: cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys, horses, llamas, dogs and cats." What started out as a hobby became a new career and a passion for Rollie.
Now focused on beef, chicken, lamb and pork, Sharon Rose Farm is the model for the Native Meats. "We practice 'righteous farming'", says Rollie proudly; referring to a philosophy of farming that respects nature's balance and methods. Sharon Rose Farm works strictly by the Native Meats protocol. They also use the farm to educate families, retailers and other farmers. With the farm as a working (and sustainable) model, others can see the methods and the proof that they work for a farm and as a business plan.
